Service Description

Do you have experience using the pottery wheel but want to improve your skills? This five-week class will take you beyond Forms that Function and take your pottery to the next level! Join our Intermediate class to level up your skills by learning new finishing techniques as well as create more complex forms such as closed forms, lidded vessels, and more using the pottery wheel. We will be focusing on consistency in size/shape of pottery pieces as well as using heavier weights of clay to produce larger pieces. One 25 lb. bag of clay is included. All tools, glazing and firing fees included, just bring your sense of humor. Participants are able to arrive at 5:30 to prep their clay and set up their wheels so class can begin promptly at 6. Since this class is designed for intermediate and advanced potters, you will NEED to have the ability to center and have completed our prerequisite Forms that Function class or do an interview with Laurie.
