Use the pottery wheel to craft whimsical closed form sculptures for spooky season.

Service Description
Join Laurie for this intermediate level pottery wheel class! Crafting closed form cylinders and orbs on the pottery wheel, we will then use additive sculpture and carving techniques to transform them into fall favorites like pumpkins, owls, cats, etc. Week one: Pottery Wheel - Throwing closed form orbs for pumpkins & closed form cylinders for cats/owls/bats. These will be covered with plastic so the clay is kept workable for week 2. Week two: Hand Building/Sculpting - using additional clay and carving tools to add decorative elements to our pieces. Projects will be fired prior to week 3. Week three: Glazing Projects will be fired again, and ready for pick up by 10/15. Projects can be finished as lanterns/lights if desired. Light kits will be available for purchase.

There are no refunds for workshops. If you find yourself unable to attend a workshop, please consider the following: * We require a minimum of 72 hours notice if you cannot attend your reserved workshop. With 72 hours advance notice, we will be happy to reschedule you to a different workshop. * With less than 72 hours advance notice we charge you a $30 rescheduling fee to move your reservation to a future workshop. To reschedule, please contact us 24 before the start of the class.
