Service Description

My Mom & Grandma were both amazing gardeners. They could take tiny cuttings of plants and nurture them into huge bushes overflowing with blooms. Somehow, this gene was not passed down to me. I have killed everything from cactus to bamboo - all the things that are supposed to be "soooooo easy" to keep alive. If this sounds like you, and you kill as many plants as I do, this might be the class you are looking for! A colorful garden is now within your reach! In this two-part class we will teach you how to transform clay slabs into a beautiful flower that will live FOREVER - no watering or special care required. No clay experience is necessary for this fun, family friendly class. During part one, we will press clay slabs into a mold, shape and add texture to create our flowers. After our flowers have been bisque fired, you will return for part two to customize your flower by painting with glazes. Flowers will be crafted from stoneware clay making it durable enough to withstand the AZ desert landscapes, and mounted on rebar for easy installation in your yard. After the glaze firing, we will mount your flower on rebar so that they are ready to go right into your garden! Finished flowers will be about 5-6" in diameter. Rebar will be approximately 24" tall. Part 1: Crafting Clay Flowers 6/7 Part 2: Glazing Ceramic Flowers 6/28 Flowers will be ready for pick up 7/19
